Joanne is the co-founder of South Africa’s Jewish Literary Festival.        

The JLF showcases authors, poets, illustrators, journalists, writers and educators who have a Jewish connection or are engaged with subjects of Jewish interest. The first-ever JLF in 2016 was a sold-out success, and the festival has since become a hotly anticipated event on the communal and literary calendars.

The JLF appeals to readers and writers of all ages across a wide spectrum of genres without promoting any political or religious agenda. This is a jam-packed day of presentations and discussions for anyone who loves books, Jewish literature, culture and conversation.
